Lionel, 99, and his wife Ellen Buxton, 100, met in March 1930, married on July 18th 1936 and have been inseperable ever since.
The couple, together a total of 82 years, have not spent more than one night apart.
Upon speaking of their marriage, Ellen says:
“We have never been apart really and have never wanted anyone else. We have been married happily because we have been good friends as well as husband and wife.
We have always made sure we have had nice evenings out together. Whether it is going for a romantic meal or out to play bingo
‘We are more in love now than ever. We keep each other going.”

I guess you can say that I sorta miss us.
From Kim’s sister, Linh’s, wedding.
I would have to agree, I miss “us”.
i miss how
- We used to just tell each other stories; our huddles during break/lunch just to listen to some juicy things.
- Our random days where we would just hangout & social gather, or even random days when we’d decide to go shop. Like that time I attempted to pick up every girl just to shop.
- Times when we’d all just go mobbin’ in the store like a gang…but not really.
- Mondays when we’d hit up that Indian restaurant for the bomb ass $5 buffet deal.
- social gatherings
There’s more, but you get the point. I don’t know what happened and I certainly did not expect this to happen to us. We would think being in a “relationship” is complicated because it takes “two” to make it work, but this……. takes seven. I used to be able to just talk to everyone about my issues with jfkadsjfkasdj or whats happening but now I’m hesitant to because it’s just different now. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s all in my head, I don’t know. & I realized in a couple of months, I might not be seeing all of you guys around because we will part & go our separate ways. Who knows what will happen after that, or if we’ll ever talk again. Just know that I wish every one of you the best and I know you guys will all succeed; & Thank you for the memories & I hope to create more with you guys from here on out. I hope i made sense.
- we’d have random potlucks out the blue or someone’s birthday
- “liquor”
- some of you guys would act like you are high… lol
- we’d take 59249287r09840283 pictures
& also, i apologize.
